Linux Mint 12 KDE Release Candidate features updated applications, general improvements and new features, all to make your desktop experience more comfortable.

Being based on Kubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot), Linux Mint 12 KDE comes with KDE Software Compilation 4.7.4, Linux kernel 3.0 and it is distributed as a Hybrid ISO image.

CES 2012: Lenovo Intros IdeaPad Yoga Ultrabook/Tablet Hybrid

Ultrabooks are supposed to help secure the notebook market against the so-called tablet onslaught, but Lenovo may have just thrown a wrench in Intel's plans.

Intel advertises Ultrabooks as the new incarnation of notebooks, so to speak.


Their key selling point is the decent performance in a package that is no thicker than a tablet, even with a physical keyboard.

Lenovo may or may not help ultrabooks' case by launching the YOGA laptop.

Official: AT&T Rolls Out Gingerbread Update for Samsung Captivate

Almost two years have passed since AT&T and Samsung introduced the Captivate Android-based smartphone in the US. Although the device was built to run Android 2.1 Éclair, Samsung promised it would update the phone’s software to Froyo, and then Gingerbread.

Unfortunately, the Captivate is among the last carrier-branded Galaxy S devices that receives the long-awaited Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

The good news is that AT&T and Samsung have just announced the availability of the major software update from the handset maker’s site.

FIFA 12 Is 2012’s First Number One in the United Kingdom

FIFA 12, the very polished and sometime incredibly funny football simulation from the EA Sports division of Electronic Arts, has managed to become the first number one of the United Kingdom video game chart for the year, while the rest of the top ten has remained very similar to that of last week.


FIFA 12 keeps the top spot and could stay there for quite some time, maybe as far as the launch of Mass Effect 3 during March.

Second place now belongs to Battlefield 3, the military first person shooter from developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts, which has managed to beat its biggest rival Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, from Infinity Ward and Activision Blizzard, into third place, down one over the previous week.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus Now Available in India

Shortly after introducing the original Galaxy Tab in India, Samsung took it further and announced the availability of Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus.

The sequel to the old Galaxy Tab which is delivered with Android 2.2 Froyo on board, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is more powerful and features improved hardware and software configuration.

The slate is now available in India as Samsung Galaxy Tab 620 and it can be purchased viaFlipkart for Rs 26,499 (500 USD or 395 EUR) outright. The tablet is a bit more expensive at select retail stores across the country, so customers will have to pay around Rs 26,990 (515 USD or 402 EUR).
For the time being, Samsung India debuted only the 16GB model, but the company will probably launch the 32GB variant within the next few weeks.

Symantec sedang melakukan investigasi terhadap kelompok hacker (peretas) India yang berhasil mengakses source code dari antivirus yang dikembangkan Symantec, Norton Antivirus.

Yama Tough, salah satu nick peretas tersebut memposting dokumen yang berkaitan dengansource code produk Symantec di Google Plus. Salah satu dokumen berisi teknik detail Norton AntiVirus, spesifikasi Quarantine server packaging API versi 1.0, dan dokumen lainnya merupakan teknologi Immune System Gateway Array Setup dari Symantec.
