Sales of the PlayStation Vita handheld from Sony has seen an increase on the Japanese market for the week, the first time since launch it has done so, while the rival Nintendo 3DS has also seen an increase in the number of units it has managed to move to gamers.
According to the data compiled by Media Create for the week ending on January 29 shows the Nintendo 3DS selling 84,789 units, which is an increase over the 80,960 that it has managed during the previous week.
Second place in the hardware chart has been occupied by the PlayStation 3, the bestselling home console in Japan, with sales that have also gone up to reach 22,924 coming from 21,155.
