Motorola XOOM 2 Coming Soon in the UAE

 

One of the latest Android tablets launched by Motorola, the XOOM 2 is about to make its debut in the UAE. The slate will be available for purchase from select major retailer across the country.

Unfortunately, the US-based handset maker did not unveil the exact release date of the XOOM 2, but it usually takes a few days after the company officially announces the availability of a product.

There are only a few differences between the Motorola XOOM and its sequel. Design-wise it's worth mentioning the XOOM 2 is about 130g lighter than the original model.

Unveiled back in February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Sony Xperia S is currently shipped worldwide to carriers and retailers.

Firefox 3.6 Will Be Dead in a Month, Get Ready for the Switch

 

Firefox 4 and the subsequent deluge of releases has been too much to swallow for some people who stuck with their tried and tested Firefox 3.6. To some it was a problem of add-on compatibility, for others things simply moved too fast.
Whatever the reason, all these users need to start thinking about life after Firefox 3.6, or rather life after Mozilla drops support for Firefox 3.6.

The group has said that Firefox 3.6 will only get a few more updates and has now decided that Firefox 3.6.28, which landed on March 13th, will be the last.

Seagate Sudah Bisa Bikin Hard Disk 60 Terabyte

 

Produsen hard disk Seagate mengumumkan bahwa mereka berhasil menemukan teknologi baru yang memungkinkan sebuah hard disk memiliki kapasitas 60 terabyte (TB).

Teknologi itu diberi nama Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR).

 

Seperti diketahui, sejak tahun 2006 kebanyakan hard disk menggunakan teknologi Perpendicular Magnetic Recording (PMR) untuk merekam data.

Fujitsu Shows Off Stylistic m532 Quad-Core Android Tablet

 

Fujitsu isn’t that big of a name in the mobile space, but the Japanese company is looking to change that in the near future with the introduction of a new tablet, called the Stylistic m532, rocking Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core chipset.

Ignoring the high-res screen trend imposed by Acer’s Iconia Tab A700 and the Asus Transformer Infinity, the m532 is built around a 10.1-inch screen capable of pushing a “mere” 1280x800 pixels.

Outlook 15 Promises a Revised User Experience

 

One of the applications bound to bring along a series of changes when coupled with the upcoming Windows 8 platform is Outlook. 

As part of Office 15, the next-generation productivity suite from Microsoft, the application will deliver optimizations for use on touchscreen devices, and will also provide an experience affected by the Metro UI interface in Windows 8.

Vodafone UK has just issued an official statement hot on the heels of Three’s release of the Ice Cream Sandwich update for Samsung Galaxy S II.

Samsung officially announced the availability of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for Galaxy S II last week. However, the company stated the UK owners would start receiving the update from the week commencing on March 19.

This time it looks like Three UK customers were the lucky ones to get the update so soon, as the carrier has just announced the availability of Android 4.0 via Samsung Kies desktop software.

AMD Radeon HD 7870, HD 7850 Graphics Cards Reach Retail

Unveiled two weeks ago, AMD’s HD 7870 and HD 7850 graphics card released into the Radeon HD 7000 product family have now become available in the retail space with prices starting at $250 US (about 190 EUR).The two Radeon HD designs are based on the company’s 28nm Pitcairn graphics core and come equipped with 2GB of GDDR5 video memory buffer.
