Motorola MOTOSMART MIX XT550 Android Phone Gets Launched in China

Motorola Mobility and Sina have teamed up to offer the MOTOSMART MIX XT550 Android phone in China. 

The smartphone will be launched during a ‘Share Music, Share Perspectives’ concert, co-sponsored by Motorola Mobility and Sina Micro Music, which is set to take place on May 30 in Beijing. 

Some of the most popular music stars will perform live in Beijing, such as Liu Xin, Su Miaoling, Tan Jiexi, Wang Yuexin, and Yang Yang. 


Motorola fans are recommended to purchase the MOTOSMART MIX XT550 by visiting the company’s online store, because all those who buy it will be automatically entered into a lucky draw for a chance to win one of the concert tickets. 

Download Firefox for Android 14 Beta with Flash Support

Mozilla continues to work on its Firefox Android mobile browser by delivering new updates to the beta version. The latest update brings even more improvements and a completely new user interface.

Aside from the new UI, the latest version of Firefox beta comes with Flash support and a new start page. Mozilla also decided to update the minimum system requirements and optimized the mobile browser to work well on Android 2.2 Froyo devices as well.

Motorola Intros XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition Tablets in Norway

Motorola XOOM 2 and its Media Edition sister have just arrived in Norway. Although Android fans may be disappointed by the fact that both slates are delivered with Honeycomb on board, at least Motorola promised it will deliver an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in Q2/Q3 2012.

Customers who are willing to spend on a XOOM 2 tablet can head over to the nearest Elkjøp store across the country and purchase one of Motorola's Android slates.

Selain menjadi salah satu editor grafis utama di Linux, tersedia juga installer untuk sistem operasi lain seperti Windows, Mac OS X, Sun OpenSolaris dan FreeBSD. Panasonic Announces One of the Most Expensive Ivy Bridge Laptops

Japanese giant Matsushita Corporation, owner of the well-known Panasonic brand, has just announced the new Let’s note B11 notebook, on its official website.


The Let’s note B11 is made only for sale in the Land of the Rising Sun and comes with Intel’s Core i7-3615QM CPU that benefits from a 6 MB Level 3 cache and runs at a moderate 2.3 GHz frequency.

The Turbo Boost option will raise the frequency up to 3.3 GHz when only one thread in demanding attention and all the effort will dissipate a maximum of 45 watts of heat.

NVIDIA CUDA Goes Open Source

NVIDIA's GPUs have high parallel processing capabilities, but those capabilities are useless if programs and systems don't have support for them, which means that NVIDIA has had to negotiate special deals and strike partnerships with builders of supercomputers and software makers.

From now on, though, it will be easier to implement GPU Acceleration in new software and machines, because NVIDIA has provided the CUDA Compiler source code to LLVM.

Sprint to Launch Samsung GALAXY S III with Dual-Core CPU and 16GB Storage

Samsung and Sprint have a long history together, which is why it won’t come as a surprise if the carrier is among the first, if not the first, to offer the third-generation Galaxy smartphone.

Unveiled earlier this month, Samsung Galaxy S III has been confirmed in Europe for May 30. Still, the South Korean company promised it would launch the super-phone in the United States as well, though no exact release dates have been given.

Well, at least Samsung mentioned that the Galaxy S III would be available in the States this summer via multiple carriers and authorized resellers. Canadian customers will be able to grab this one too, though there is no release date either.

Ubuntu 12.10 To Feature Linux Kernel 3.5

The newest operating system from Canonical, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin), is shipping with Linux kernel 3.2, but the upcoming Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal) could arrive with Linux kernel 3.5. 

Canonical has surprised people with the decision to provide a default PAE kernel with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin), but the company has never been too bold in regard to new Linux kernel versions.
