On October 20th, Chris Smart proudly announced the immediate availability of the Kororaa 15.1 operating system, which fixes some of the major shortcomings and bugs, and also arrives with a few updated packages.Kororaa 15.1 is based on the Fedora 15 Linux distribution and offers GNOME 3 as well as KDE SC 4 as desktop options.Highlights of Kororaa 15.1:
· A KDE crash while in live mode has been fixed;
· A Kdenlive bug which prevented it from working at all has been fixed;
· A KPackagekit crash bug, which also only showed up in live mode, has been fixed;
· There is the possibility of logging in automatically and bypassing the login screen;
· Users can now disable the screensaver and the lock screen, while in live mode;
· The repository for Google Talk Plugin has been added;
· Skype-helper meta-package installs Skype dependencies, but not Skype itself;
· More GNOME Shell themes are now included;
· The Synaptic package manager has been removed;
· Gloobus preview has been removed;
· GNOME Appearance Properties link has been removed;
· Firefox 7 is now included, replacing Firefox 6;

Other News:· On October 17th, Canonical proudly announced the official place and date for the upcoming Ubuntu Hardware Summit 2011 event which takes place once a year. This year's Ubuntu Hardware Summit event will take place on December 8th, starting at 9 AM local time, at Grand Victoria Hotel No. 168, Jingye 4th Rd., Taipei, 10466 Taiwan.
